My Lessons
In music, as in life, success in learning frequently depends on finding the right instructor; someone who knows the subject well and can teach it well.
My Studio
Educating and inspiring youth in music is the one of the most important things I do in my life. With locations in both Stafford and Fredericksburg, I have been teaching privately since 2016, and have been the Group Strings Instructor at St. William of York Catholic School since 2019. I am member of the SAA (Suzuki Association of the Americas) and am trained in the Suzuki "Every Child Can!" course as well as the Violin book 1 unit. While focusing on technical skills and musicianship, I also encourage inner growth and self-discovery. I offer both Suzuki and non-Suzuki lessons, but I do primarily use the Suzuki method books in both style of lessons. I also customize lesson curriculum based on each individual student's needs and learning style. This allows me to introduce them to a variety of styles, including: classical, musical theater, fiddle, and much more! I have grown to absolutely LOVE teaching in my 6 years and can't wait to see where it will take me and my students!

In my years of teaching, dozens of my students have earned places in local and regional orchestras, have been accepted into college music programs, and have gone on to be wonderful musicians and young people. I take my responsibility as an educator seriously and give each of my students my very best; therefore, I expect my students to be respectful of me and my time and to give me their best effort as well. “Teaching music is not my main purpose. I want to make good citizens. If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. They get a beautiful heart.”
― Shinichi Suzuki
